Jai Bala Ji Paints & Hardware

The shop is right here in Sukhrali. It's been in this part of Gurgaon village for a while now. Most days I’m just moving cans of paint around or looking for a specific bolt for someone. It gets dusty, but that’s hardware for you. People come in from around the village when their tap leaks or they want to change the color of a bedroom wall. I keep a lot of stuff on the shelves, maybe too much sometimes because finding things takes a minute. It’s not a big fancy place with air conditioning, just a regular counter and rows of tools. Sometimes the kids from the street pop their heads in. I try to keep the basic things everyone needs, like hammers, nails, and those big buckets of white wash. Usually, I’m here from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s a lot of standing and talking to neighbors about what they’re fixing at home. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather turns and people realize their roof needs a bit of work. I don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us helping out. We know the people around here, and they know where to find us. It’s just a simple life running a shop in the village. Nothing too complicated about it really. You just sell what people need and hope the stock doesn’t run out when someone is in a hurry to get a job done.
