If you are looking for us, we are over in Garden Estate in the Gaushala Market area. Our shop is right near Surendra Welding Works. You can usually hear the sound of their welding machines while we are working on our own projects. We mostly deal with paint and brushes. The floor is covered in different colored spots from years of mixing tins and cleaning out rollers. We do a lot of house painting and some smaller jobs for shops in the market. It is a busy little corner of the world. We have stacks of ladders and buckets piled up against the walls. Some days we are out at a site all day and the shop stays locked, but mostly someone is here cleaning brushes or talking to a regular. The market gets very crowded on the weekends, making it hard to move the bigger ladders around. We try to keep the brushes in good shape, but they wear out fast with the kind of work we do. Being near the welding shop means there is always a bit of a metallic smell in the air too. We just focus on getting the colors right and making sure the layers are even. It is messy work and our clothes usually have paint on them by lunch. That is just how it is when you spend all day with open cans and rollers.
