Guru Nanak Aluminium & Glass

Our place is right on N.H.-8, not too far from the Shani Mandir in Begampur Khatola. If you're driving by, you probably won't miss us because of all the glass reflecting the light. We spend most of our time cutting sheets to size or fixing up aluminum frames. It's dusty work, and there’s always a bit of noise from the saws. We started out small and just stayed in this area because it’s convenient for the trucks. The highway is always busy, so there’s a lot of dust that comes in, but we try to keep the glass clean enough to see through. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of us have been working with these materials for a long time, so we know how they behave. We handle the heavy panes carefully. Sometimes the wind picks up off the road and blows right into the workshop. We’ve got stacks of aluminum extrusions in the back and glass sheets leaning against the walls. It’s not a showroom, just a place where we get things done. People from around the neighborhood stop by when they have a broken window or need a new frame for a shop. We just take the measurements and get to it. No fancy talk here, just glass and metal work. We try to be honest about how long a job will take so nobody is waiting around forever.
