We’ve been here at A-17 in Sector 49 for a while now. Most days it’s just about keeping the shelves lined up right. Gurgaon gets dusty, so half the time we’re just wiping things down. Grocery711.Com is what we put on the board, but people just know us as the place near the corner. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work. We spend a lot of time counting packets of chips and making sure the fridge for the milk is actually cold. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to mess with the inverter. It isn’t a fancy office or anything. There are stacks of boxes in the back that we haven't quite sorted through yet. My cousin helps out with the deliveries when the traffic isn't too bad on the main road. We try to keep the staples like atta and dal in stock because that's what people actually need every day. If we run out of something, someone usually complains, so we keep a little notebook to write down what's missing. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to the same ten neighbors who come in every morning. The floor gets scuffed from the crates being dragged around. It’s just how it is. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure the bags are packed okay. You won't find anything flashy here, just a lot of groceries.
