Chowdhary Traders

You can find Chowdhary Traders at Shop No. 11, right by Mughal Road near the Khandli Bridge. It’s a busy spot because of the bridge road, so there’s always the sound of trucks and cars passing by. Our shop is just one of many in this row, but we try to keep our little area tidy. We deal with various goods and the stock changes depending on what’s coming in. The space inside is mostly taken up by bags and crates, leaving just enough room for a couple of chairs and a small table. We spend a lot of time checking the lists and making sure the counts are right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a fair bit of time sweeping. The location is good because it’s easy for the delivery vehicles to find us, even if the traffic gets jammed up sometimes. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just talk to the people who come by and get the work done. The bridge is a good landmark for people looking for us. Most of the time, we are just focused on the next load that needs to be moved. It’s a straightforward life here on Mughal Road, just keeping the trade going. We have been here for a few years now and have gotten used to the noise.
