We are up on the 7th Floor of Tower D in Global Business Park. It’s right there in Gurgaon, 122002. Being in a big park like this means there are always people moving around. The elevator ride up to the seventh floor is part of the daily routine. Our space is filled with desks, computers, and a lot of cords running along the floor. It’s not a fancy setup despite being in a tall building. A.T. Kearney Consulting (India) Private Limited has been here for some time now. We have windows that look out over the rest of the business park, which is interesting when the weather changes. Sometimes you can see the rain coming across the city. The office gets a bit cold because of the central air, so most of us keep a sweater on our chairs. We have a break room where the coffee machine usually works, but not always. The halls are wide and painted a neutral color. We don't really have decorations on the walls, just some notices and maybe a map. It feels very functional. Getting to work involves navigating the Gurgaon traffic, which is never fun. Once we are inside, it’s just the sound of typing and people talking. We don’t spend much time worrying about the looks of the place. We just focus on getting through the tasks for the day. It’s a standard office life in a busy part of Haryana.
