Ammus General Store

Ammus General Store is situated in Shiva Market along the Mehrauli Gurgaon Road. This market is always crowded with people buying vegetables or getting their bikes fixed. My shop is packed with everything from soap and shampoo to bags of rice and flour. I try to keep things in order, but the space is small and I keep getting new stock in every few days. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so I have to use a small ladder to reach the items on the top. I know where every single item is, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. The morning is usually quiet, but by evening, the shop is full of people coming back from work needing milk or bread. I have a small stool where I sit when there are no customers, but that doesn't happen very often. The noise from the main road is constant, with trucks and buses zooming past. Sometimes the dust from the road blows inside, so I have to wipe the jars and packets quite often. My regular customers usually just shout out what they need and I gather it all up for them. It is a neighborhood store, so I hear all the local gossip and news. I have been in Shiva Market for a long time and I have seen many shops come and go, but I just keep doing my thing here every day.
