Our office is tucked away at House No. 29 in Bhagawanpur, which is right in the Lanka area of Varanasi. Being so close to B.H.U. means there is always a lot of energy around us, with students on bicycles and rickshaws constantly ringing their bells. The pin code is 221005. We aren’t in a big, modern office building with elevators. We work out of this house, and it feels a lot more personal that way. There’s a small gate at the front and a bit of a porch where we sometimes sit when the weather isn’t too hot. Inside, we’ve got desks squeezed into the rooms and plenty of wires running along the floors for our computers. It gets quite humid here in the summer months, so the ceiling fans are always humming in the background. We handle travel bookings and online stuff all day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the old lines in the neighborhood, but we usually get it fixed pretty quick. We’ve got a small tea stall just a few doors down where we go for breaks. Varanasi is a crowded, noisy city, but this little street in Bhagawanpur is where we’ve made our base. We don't have a massive sign out front, just a small board so people know they’ve found the right house. It’s a simple way to work, and we’re used to it.
