Virgin Atlantic Airways

It might seem a bit odd, but we operate out of House No. 4684 in Sector 23A of Gurgaon. It’s not a big airport terminal or a glass tower, just a regular building where we handle the behind-the-scenes stuff. A lot of our day involves managing schedules, dealing with phone calls, and making sure all the paperwork for the flights is in order. It’s a lot of detail-oriented work that most people don’t see when they are at the gate. Sector 23A is a quiet enough area compared to the main parts of Gurgaon, which is nice when you’re trying to concentrate on logistics. We have a few rooms set up as offices with desks piled with folders and computer screens that never seem to turn off. The staff here has been together for a bit, so we’ve got a good flow going. We drink a lot of chai and try to stay on top of the time zones, which can be a bit confusing sometimes. When things get busy, the office feels very small, but we make it work. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure everything is where it needs to be. We aren't the ones flying the planes, but we’re the ones making sure the data and the plans are all lined up correctly from this little spot in Haryana. It’s a steady job with plenty to do every single day.
