Vatika Pind Balluchi/Park

This place in Sector-23, Gurgaon, is where we spend most of our hours. It is 646-B, and if you have lived around here for a while, you have probably walked past us or seen the cars parked out front. We focus on the food and making sure the tables are wiped down properly. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone gets off work and wants something heavy and warm to eat. The kitchen stays hot, especially in the summer, but that is just the way it is in this business. We have the park area too, which is nice when the weather is not too dusty. Kids run around while the adults sit and talk. We do not do anything too fancy with the decor, just the usual stuff that makes people feel like they can sit down without worrying about their clothes. The menu is just what we know how to cook. Sometimes we run out of things if the market was short that morning. We try to keep the chairs comfortable but some of them have seen better days. It is a local spot, nothing more. You see the same faces every Friday night. We know who likes their tea extra sweet and who wants more onions. It is just a routine for us now. We open up, clean the floors, start the burners, and wait for the first person to walk in. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
