Our office is at G-7041 in Devender Vihar, which is part of Sector 56 in Gurgaon. It’s a residential colony area, so it’s not like being in one of those huge office parks. We have a ground-floor space where we keep all the architectural drawings, site maps, and project files. The walls are covered in those big printed maps of the different sectors. It’s a bit of a cluttered space because we are always getting new samples of tiles or bricks delivered to show the contractors. There is a lot of coming and going with engineers and site supervisors stopping by to drop off reports or pick up keys. We have a big table in the center where we spread out the blueprints, and there is usually a layer of fine dust on everything no matter how much we clean. The tea guy from the corner comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break from looking at the computer screens. We don't have fancy partitions; it’s just an open room where everyone can hear everyone else talking. The internet can be a bit temperamental, especially when it rains, so we sometimes have to wait around to upload the latest site photos. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is just on the daily tasks of building and managing properties. We spend more time worrying about cement deliveries than we do about fancy corporate presentations.
