Vasant Hotel

So, our permanent place is actually over in Rohtak, at 612 A /21 Azad Garh. That’s where everything started for us. But right now, we’re mostly operating out of Gurgaon. It’s a bit of a shift, moving from the vibe of Azad Garh to the fast pace of this city. We still keep our roots back there, but the work has brought us here for the time being. Managing a hotel is mostly about making sure things are clean and the rooms are ready when people show up. There’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a light bulb that’s gone out. We don’t have a fancy team for every little thing; often, it’s just one of us grabbing a toolbox and taking care of it. The days are long and we’re usually on our feet quite a bit. It’s not like the movies where everything is perfect. Sometimes the kitchen is a mess or a guest is grumpy because of the traffic outside. We just try to keep things running as best as we can. It’s a lot of laundry, a lot of checking in, and a lot of making sure the bills are paid. Being in Gurgaon is different because everything moves so much faster, but we still try to bring that more relaxed feel we had back home in Rohtak. It's just a regular business trying to stay afloat and making sure the guests have a place to sleep tonight.
