At Travel Port in Malviya Nagar, we run things from a small office at H-14/1. It’s a neighborhood where people are always walking by, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. Our office is filled with the sound of phones ringing and the hum of the old air conditioner. We spend most of our time looking for flights or sorting out train tickets for people who come in. It isn't a high-tech setup, just a couple of computers and some printers that sometimes jam up when we are in a hurry. I usually start the day by opening the shutters and sweeping the front step. Then it’s straight to the emails. Malviya Nagar is a busy place, and sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear on the phone, but we manage. We have a small table in the back where we keep the water bottles and a stash of biscuits. There are stacks of old travel brochures in the corner that we really should throw away one of these days. It’s a simple life, mostly just helping people figure out how to get from one place to another. We don't have any fancy marketing plans, we just wait for the phone to ring or for someone to walk through the door. It’s been our routine at this address for quite some time now, and we just keep going.
