Transport Corporation

We operate the Transport Corporation from our spot on B.H.U. Road in the Assi area of Varanasi. It’s a very busy street, always full of people, rickshaws, and students from the university. Our office is easy to find if you’re looking for it, but it’s nothing fancy. It’s basically just a room where we keep our logbooks and phones. Speaking of phones, we usually have a couple of them ringing at the same time, usually at the numbers ending in 0955 or 9556. Dealing with transport in a city like Varanasi is a bit of a challenge every day. The traffic can be unpredictable, and the heat in the summer is no joke. We don’t have a big corporate structure here. It’s just a few of us sitting behind a wooden desk making sure the trucks and drivers are where they need to be. We drink plenty of water and try to keep the fans going. It’s a loud, energetic place to work. We don’t have time for fancy talk or missions. We just want to make sure the goods get moved and the paperwork is signed. Assi is a great part of town though, very lively. We’ve been here for a while and know most of the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a very local, down-to-earth operation. We just do our job and go home, simple as that. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy. The tea here is pretty good at least, and that helps.
