Our office is located at 835/5, Gali No. 5 in Gurgaon. We are part of the Transport Corporation Of India Ltd, and this is where we manage the trucks and the movement of goods. Gali No. 5 can be a bit tight for vehicles, so it’s always interesting when people try to visit us. We have a lot of paperwork because transport involves so many rules and forms. The desks are covered in logbooks and receipts. It is a dusty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. We have a small fan that wobbles a lot and a clock that is five minutes fast. Most of the people working here have been in the transport business for decades. We talk about routes and fuel prices more than anything else. We don't have a fancy lobby or a water fountain. We just have a big jug of water in the corner and some plastic chairs. It’s a real workplace where things get done. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the office looks. We just care that the trucks are on time and the drivers are okay. It’s a loud area with a lot of construction usually going on nearby. We have grown to like the noise. It feels like things are moving. That is just life here in our Gurgaon branch. We stay until the last truck is logged.
