I work out of a small spot at T-1381 in Mangolpuri. It’s a very busy residential and commercial area in New Delhi. The streets are always full of people, and there’s a lot of dust from all the construction nearby. My office is pretty simple, just enough space for a desk, my computer, and a chair for someone to sit. I spend my whole day looking for travel routes and trying to find the best prices for tickets. It’s a lot of clicking and refreshing screens. Mangolpuri is a loud place, so I usually have some music playing to drown out the noise from the market outside. I started this because I liked travel, but now I mostly just look at maps on a monitor. I handle all kinds of bookings, whether it’s for a bus, a train, or a plane. People come in with their IDs and we go through the options together. The lighting in here isn't the best, so my eyes get tired by the end of the day. I keep a bottle of water and some snacks in my drawer because I don't always get a chance to go out for lunch. It’s a one-man show for the most part. I've lived in this area for years, so I know most of the people who walk past my door. It’s just a small local business trying to keep things moving and pay the bills like everyone else here.
