Thomas Cook India Ltd.

Thomas Cook India Ltd. has an office at K 7/19 DLF City II in Gurgaon. It is a busy part of Haryana and there is always something going on outside our windows. We spend most of our time helping people figure out their travel plans, which involves a lot of looking at screens and talking on the phone. It is not all tropical beaches and fancy hotels for us; mostly it is about fixing booking errors and making sure passports and visas are in order. The office in DLF City II is a bit cramped with all the travel brochures and files we have to keep, but we make it work. Gurgaon traffic makes the commute a bit of a pain for most of us, so the morning usually starts with everyone complaining about the roads while we wait for the computers to boot up. We handle a lot of foreign exchange too, so we have to be very careful with the numbers and the daily rates. It can get stressful when a flight gets cancelled or someone loses their luggage, and we have to stay late to sort it out. We don't have any special mission or anything, we just try to get people from one place to another without too many headaches. It is a lot of routine work and checking the same things over and over again, but it feels good when a trip actually goes off without a hitch for someone.
