The Bristol Hotel

Our place is located in Varanasi, specifically over in Pandey Pur at Singh Sadan. If you are trying to find us, look for Mr. Bilas Singh’s house, numbered 7/74 in Bhakti Nagar. It is a lively area and there is always something happening on the streets nearby. We run things here in a very straightforward way. The building has been around and it feels like a real part of the neighborhood. We aren't one of those massive, cold hotels you see in the big cities. This is more of a local spot where people come and go. Most days start early with the sound of the city waking up. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are okay and talking to guests who are visiting the holy city. It can get quite hot in Uttar Pradesh during the summer months, so we are always busy with the fans and the water. The office area is often cluttered with keys and ledgers. We don't use much fancy technology, preferring to keep track of things the old-fashioned way. It might seem a bit disorganized to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. Living and working in a place like Pandey Pur means you meet all sorts of people. We just try to keep the place running and make sure everyone has a spot to rest. It is simple but it works for us.
