Sterling Resorts India Limited has its office on Bajanai Kovil Street in the Kodambakkam area of Chennai. If you know Chennai you know how hot it gets and our street is always buzzing with people and scooters going past. We sit in the office and plan out holidays for people who want to get away from the city noise. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and sending out emails to various resorts across the country. We have been here at number 1 for a while and the neighbors all know us. Kodambakkam is a busy place but we have our little routine. We get our tea from the shop at the corner and we spend the afternoon sorting out travel dates and booking confirmations. It’s not a glamorous job but it is good to help families figure out their trips. Sometimes the phones don’t stop ringing and it gets a bit stressful but we just handle one caller at a time. We don't have any scripted lines to say to people. We just tell them what is available and what the prices are. The office is full of brochures and maps and we spend a lot of time making sure the paperwork is correct before we send it out. We are just a group of people who know a lot about travel and work hard to get the details right for anyone who walks in.
