We are over here at B-406 in the C-Dot Apartments in Sector-56. Gurgaon is always busy, but this corner of Sector-56 stays a bit quieter than the main roads. Most of us get in around nine and the first thing is usually finding a place for the bikes. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we handle all the Spicejet stuff. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we take the stairs. It’s good exercise anyway. There’s a tea stall just outside the main gate where everyone goes around eleven. You can hear the traffic from the main road if the windows are open, but mostly we keep them shut because of the dust. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It feels like home because we spend more time here than at our actual houses. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, maybe a light blue or something neutral. It’s funny how you stop noticing the small cracks in the floor after a month of working here. We just sit at our desks and get through the lists. The internet is mostly reliable, which is a relief. When it rains, the area outside the apartment complex gets a bit muddy, so we all end up with dirty shoes. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We don't have a big cafeteria, just a small corner with a kettle and some biscuits. It works for us.
