Som Datt Builders(P) Ltd, New Delhi

Som Datt Builders is a company we’ve been running out of New Delhi for many years. Our main office is over in Safdarjang Enclave, at B5/63. It’s a solid old building in a part of the city that has seen a lot of changes. We are in the construction business, so we spend a lot of time looking at maps and building plans. The office is usually full of rolls of paper and people coming in to talk about their projects. We are a private limited company, but we don't act like a big corporation. It is more of a hands-on operation where we know all our workers by name. New Delhi is a tough place to build things sometimes because of the heat and the regulations, but we’ve managed to stay in business at this same address for a long time. Our pin code is 110029, which is a good area to be in. Most of our day is spent on the phone with contractors or out at the sites seeing how the work is progressing. The office at Safdarjang Enclave is our home base where we come back to finish the day's work. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or big signs. We just have our desks and our experience in the building trade. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it has worked for us through all these years.
