Shivani Inverters & Battery is down on the Delhi Gurgaon Road in Bhim Nagar, right at 240/11. This place is full of heavy black boxes and the smell of lead and acid. We have been here for quite some time now. During the summer months, it gets really hectic because the power cuts start happening all the time. People come in looking for a backup so their fans keep spinning. It is a lot of heavy lifting. Moving these batteries around is not easy on the back. We have rows of inverters on the shelves. Most of our day is spent checking water levels in batteries or testing if a unit is charging right. The shop is a bit dark and crowded with stock. We keep the floor as clean as we can but it is an industrial kind of job. We are located near the main road so it is always noisy with trucks passing by. We don't have any sales pitch. People come because they need their lights to stay on. We just show them what we have in the shop and tell them how it works. Sometimes we have to go out to people's houses to drop off a new battery. It is just a local business run by people who understand how annoying it is to be in the dark. We keep things simple at 240/11 for everyone.
