Our office is tucked away in Ms-04/606 at Kendriya Vihar in Sector-56. Being in Gurgaon, we are right in the middle of all the action, but our specific spot is pretty quiet. We run Service Max Facility Management Company from here. Most of our work involves sending people out to fix things, clean up, or manage buildings for other people. It is a lot of phone calls and scheduling. We have a small team here in the office and we’ve gotten pretty used to the layout of Kendriya Vihar. It is a big complex, so sometimes people get lost trying to find us the first time. We spend most of our day looking at schedules and making sure our workers have what they need to do their jobs. It is practical work, nothing too fancy. If a pipe bursts somewhere or a light goes out in a big office, we are usually the ones hearing about it first. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything. We just try to answer the phone when it rings and get someone out to help as fast as we can. It gets a bit hectic when multiple things go wrong at once, but that is just the nature of facility management. We keep our coffee pot full and just keep working through the list of tasks. It is what we know and we do it every day.
