Working out of the Ericsson Forum in DLF Cyber City is definitely a different experience than some other parts of the city. It’s all glass, steel, and high-rise buildings around here, and everyone you see on the street is always in a huge rush to get somewhere. We are right in the middle of that busy corporate hub. Our office is a mix of open desks and small meeting rooms where there’s always a laptop open or someone talking on a headset to a colleague far away. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it has a certain fast-paced energy to it that keeps you moving. You spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators or grabbing a quick sandwich from the food court shops downstairs during lunch. The security guards at the main entrance know our faces by now, which makes getting in and out a little bit faster than for visitors. Even though it’s a big, modern corporate building, our specific work area feels a bit more grounded and personal. We have our own little corner with some half-dead plants that we forget to water and personal photos pinned to the cubicle walls. The view from the big windows is just more glass buildings and the metro line snaking through the city traffic. We try to keep things organized, but on the really busy days, the desks get buried under piles of papers and tangled cables. It’s just our daily life here.
