About Saher Batteries Inverters – Energy in Gurgaon
We are over in Sector 52, dealing mostly with batteries and inverters. It’s heavy work, moving those lead-acid batteries around all day. The shop has a concrete floor because it’s easy to clean if something spills. We have rows of different sizes of inverters stacked up on the wooden shelves. Most of our customers come in when the power starts going out a lot in the summer. It’s usually me and a couple of helpers who do the installations at people’s houses. We have an old pickup truck that we use for deliveries, and it’s seen better days. The smell of battery acid and grease is just part of the shop now. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a plastic chair near the entrance. Sometimes we get pretty tired after a long day of lifting, but it's part of the job. We’ve been in Sector 52 for a few years and we know most of the local electricians. We don't use any corporate scripts when we talk to people. We just tell them what battery will work for their home and what it’s going to cost. The paperwork is kept in a simple filing cabinet that’s a bit rusty at the bottom. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We’re just here to make sure people have backup power when they need it, especially during the long months when the heat is at its worst.
