Oberoi'S

We’re based out in Mumbai, right where the city never seems to stop moving. If you’ve ever been here, you know the smell of the sea and the sound of the traffic that goes on all night. Working at Oberoi’s means we see all kinds of people coming in from the airport or the business districts. Some are very wealthy and others are just here for a special dinner, but we treat them all the same. The lobby is always shiny, and we spend a lot of time polishing things and making sure there isn't a speck of dust anywhere. It’s a lot of work behind the scenes that most people don't see. We have huge kitchens where the cooks are always busy, and the laundry rooms are never empty. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when there’s a big event or a wedding, but we just keep moving and doing our jobs. The staff stays in various parts of the city and some of us have long commutes on the local trains just to get here. We aren't just a building; we’re a whole group of people who have been working together for years. It’s a tough city to live in, but being part of this place gives us a sense of pride in what we do every single day.
