Oberoi Flight Services, New Delhi

Our office is over in Sector 23 of Gurgaon, at House Number 690I. It’s a bit away from the airport itself, but this is where a lot of the planning and support work happens for the flights. We deal with everything that goes into making sure flight services are ready to go on time. It’s a lot of coordination between different people. We have schedules pinned up all over the walls and everyone is always checking their watches. It’s a bit hectic because planes don't wait for anyone, so we have to be quick. We aren't in one of those huge corporate parks; we are just in a regular sector house. It makes the commute a bit easier for those of us who live in Gurgaon. We spend our days on the phone or typing away at the computers in the front room. There’s always a crate of something being moved or a long list of supplies being checked. We don't have fancy uniforms while we are here in the office. We just wear what's comfortable and get the job done. Sometimes we stay late when there are flight delays due to weather. The tea stall down the road is where we usually go when we need a ten-minute break. It’s a busy life, but we’ve gotten used to the fast pace. We just make sure the details are right every day.
