Our branch is over in Palam Colony, specifically at WZ686Z/27, right opposite the Kailas Mansarowar Ashram. If you know New Delhi, you know this area is always moving. Our shop is no different. It’s usually filled with cardboard boxes, rolls of packing tape, and stacks of envelopes waiting to be sorted. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where everything gets sent out. We have bikes parked outside all day long, coming and going with deliveries. The walls are covered in charts and delivery routes, and there is always a bit of dust because of the open door. We get all sorts of people walking in, from students sending papers to businesses shipping big crates. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting things and checking addresses. Sometimes the handwriting on the labels is so bad we have to spend ten minutes trying to figure it out. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused, especially during the festive seasons when the mail triples. It gets loud with the traffic from the road and people asking about their tracking numbers. We don't have fancy uniforms or a polished lobby. We just have scales, stamps, and a lot of energy. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but we have a system that works for us. We just focus on moving the boxes from one pile to the next and making sure the trucks are loaded before they leave.
