Moets Restaurant Gurgaon

It’s a bit of a climb to get out here to Tilokpur in the Jawali Tehsil of Kangra. Our place is situated in a very quiet part of Himachal Pradesh, far away from the heavy traffic of Gurgaon that’s in our name. This is where the village life happens. The post office is nearby, and the whole area is surrounded by trees and the hills. We don't have the big neon signs or the crowded mall atmosphere here. It’s much simpler. Most of the people who work here are from the local villages. We spend our time managing the daily operations of the restaurant and making sure things are ready for whoever stops by. The air is much cleaner up here than it is in the city. In the winters, it gets really cold, so we usually have some heaters going and everyone stays close to the kitchen area. The building is a traditional structure that fits right into the Kangra landscape. We don't have a massive menu with things you can't pronounce. It’s more about what’s fresh and what people around here like to eat. Sometimes the supply trucks take a bit longer to reach us because of the winding roads, but we’re used to that. It’s a slower pace of life, and we like it that way. You won’t find any fancy corporate talk here, just people working hard and enjoying the mountain views when they get a minute to breathe.
