We are located in Vpo Nakhrola, which is out in the Gurgaon area of Haryana. Mcdonalds India has a spot here, away from the big malls and the bright lights of the main city. It’s a more rural setting than people usually expect. We spend our time managing the supplies and looking over the logistics of how things move around. Our office isn't anything special. It’s a functional space where we keep our logs and take our calls. Most of the staff comes from the nearby villages. We know the local roads well, which helps when we need to get things delivered or moved. It’s not all fast food and smiles; there’s a lot of boring work behind the scenes like checking inventory and making sure the trucks are on time. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. We just have what we need to get through the workday. The air is a bit different out here in Nakhrola compared to the city center. We deal with the usual stuff like heat in the summer and the dust from the roads. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big glass building. We just do our part in the chain and make sure the numbers add up at the end of the day. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it from this village for a while now. It stays busy but we like the pace of this area.
