Our office is at 522, New Nehru Colony, which is just off Majitha Road in Amritsar. It’s a residential-looking area, so it’s a bit quieter than being right in the center of the city. We have a regular routine here. We come in, start the computers, and get to work on whatever the main office has sent over. The Punjab weather gets really cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, so we’re always messing with the heater or the cooler. There’s a tea shop around the corner where we usually get our mid-morning snacks and a few biscuits. We aren't a giant tech center like you see in the movies; we’re just a small branch doing our part in this neighborhood. The walls are a plain off-white, and we’ve got some old posters up. We don't really have many visitors, as most of our work is done on the screens. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks a lot during our calls, but we just ignore it. We’ve been in this building for a few years now, and the landlord is a nice guy who lives nearby and checks in on us. It’s a steady job and we like the location because it’s easy to get home from. We don't have a big corporate cafeteria or anything; we just bring our lunch boxes and eat at our desks together. It’s a simple, local way of working for us.
