Housewife

I live over in Palam Vihar at J 1036, and my day is usually spent keeping this house running. It’s a nice enough area in Gurgaon, but like everywhere else, it’s gotten a lot noisier lately with all the new construction. I don't run a business in the traditional sense, but managing a household is a full-time job if you ask me. I start early in the morning, getting things ready for the day and making sure the kitchen is stocked. The grocery store is just down the road, and I spend a lot of time walking back and forth getting what we need. I know most of the neighbors now, and we often stop to chat about the weather or the price of vegetables these days. The house always needs something fixed, whether it’s a leaky tap or a light bulb that finally gave up. I keep a little notebook for my lists because I can’t remember everything anymore. Afternoons are usually my quiet time where I sit in the living room with the fan on and maybe listen to the radio for a bit before things get busy again in the evening. It’s not an office job, but there’s always laundry to fold or a meal to plan. My address is just where I live and take care of my family, and that’s plenty to keep me busy from sunrise to sunset. It is just the regular life of a homemaker here.
