Hotel Queens Residency Gurgaon is actually managed from over here in Village Murshad Pur. It’s near Najibabad in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. I know the name says Gurgaon, which confuses some people who are looking for us in the city, but this is where our roots are. My family has lived in this village for generations. We decided to start the business to give people a decent place to stay when they’re traveling through this part of UP or heading towards the bigger cities. It’s a quiet life here compared to Gurgaon. We have cows nearby and you can hear the birds in the morning. Running a hotel from a village means you have to be ready for anything. If the grocery delivery doesn’t show up, we just go to the local market ourselves. My brother handles the front desk and my mother makes sure the kitchen is running right. We don’t have a website with fancy photos. What you see is what you get. The rooms are clean, and the fans work. We spend our evenings sitting outside talking to the guests about their travels. It’s a simple way to live, but we like it. We aren't trying to be a five-star resort. We just want to be a place where a tired traveler can get some rest and a hot meal without spending too much money. It’s not always easy, but it’s our life and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
