Hotel Hari Niwas Palace Jammu

Our office is located in Ganpati Heights, which is right near the Haryana Roadways Workshop on Mata Road. It’s a bit of a dusty area because of all the buses and the construction that never seems to end in Gurgaon. This is where we handle the side of things for Hotel Hari Niwas Palace Jammu that people don’t see when they’re actually staying at the palace. While the hotel itself is up in the mountains, this office is where the coordination happens. It’s a small room on the fourth floor, number 402. We spend our days dealing with bookings, answering questions about the rooms, and talking to travel agents. The noise from the workshop downstairs can be a bit much sometimes, especially when they’re testing the engines, but you learn to talk over it. The office is pretty basic, just some desks, a few old computers, and photos of the palace in Jammu on the walls to remind us of what we’re actually working for. It’s a long way from the luxury of the hotel, but this is where the hard work gets done. We aren’t a massive team here, just a few of us making sure everything runs smoothly for the guests up north. We usually grab tea from the stall across the road and eat our lunch at our desks while the phones keep ringing. It's just a regular workday here on Mata Road.
