Home Stores India Ltd operates out of 2D76 Ridgewood Estate in DLF City Phase IV, which is over in Gurgaon. It’s a residential estate, so it feels more like a home than a big corporate building. We have been here for a good amount of time and the staff knows the layout of the place by heart. It’s a bit of a maze if you are coming here for the first time, especially with the way the blocks are numbered around the Haryana side. We deal with various home store supplies and handle the logistics right from this spot. The office itself is quite simple with just the basic stuff we need to get through the day. There is always a stack of papers on someone’s desk and the printer makes a loud noise every time we use it. We usually have lunch together in the small kitchen area. Gurgaon is a busy city, but inside Ridgewood, it stays relatively calm most of the time. We see the same security guards every morning and they know us by name. It isn't a place for fancy displays or anything. We just focus on managing the stock and making sure the orders are moving along. It’s a honest day's work for all of us. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but we manage to get things done anyway. We like it here because it feels familiar and comfortable for everyone who works in the unit.
