Harriez(A Unit Of Fitness Plaza India)

Harriez is located over at U-73/7 in DLF Phase-3, Gurgaon. If you walk inside, the first thing you’ll notice is the sound of the treadmills and the clinking of weights. It’s a unit of Fitness Plaza India, but we just call it the gym. The space isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit in all the equipment people need to get their heart rate up. We spend a lot of time wiping down the machines and putting weights back where they belong because people always forget. The mirrors are always getting smudges on them. It’s usually busiest in the early morning before work and then again in the evening. We keep some music playing in the background to keep the energy up, though sometimes the speakers crackle a bit. The floors are that heavy rubber matting that smells a bit like a tire shop when it's new. We’ve got a small area where people can leave their bags, but it gets crowded when the 6 PM crowd shows up. We are right there in Phase-3, so we get a lot of people who work in the nearby offices. It’s a simple place for people to come and sweat for an hour. We don’t have any fancy juice bars or anything, just a water cooler in the corner that we have to refill twice a day. The ceiling is a bit low in some spots, so you have to be careful when you’re doing overhead presses. We also have a couple of fans that we keep moving around.
