Our office is at 202 in the Mahaveer Building, right in the Chakkarpur area of Gurgaon. Chakkarpur is a bit of an interesting place, tucked away with a mix of old houses and newer office blocks. The Mahaveer Building is easy enough to find once you are in the neighborhood. We are up on the second floor. It is a functional space, mostly filled with desks, chairs, and filing cabinets. We deal with health-related queries and services, so there is a lot of talking on the phone and typing out reports. It is not a silent office by any means. There is usually someone complaining about the Gurgaon traffic or the heat outside. We have a small water cooler in the corner that everyone gathers around for a quick chat. The floor is tiled and easy to clean, which is good because people are always walking in and out. We don't have any expensive art on the walls, just a few charts and maybe a calendar. The lift in the building sometimes has a mind of its own, so many of us just take the stairs to get our exercise for the day. We are just a small team of people doing our jobs in Haryana, trying to keep up with the pace of life here. It is a straightforward operation without any unnecessary bells and whistles. We show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down.
