Galaxy Hotel

Galaxy Hotel is tucked away at 239, Safipur-Ii in the Bangali Colony area of Harjinder Nagar. We are right in Kanpur, which means things are always moving fast around here. The building has several floors and we spend a lot of our time going up and down the stairs to check on rooms. It isn't a five-star place with gold handles, but it is clean and the beds are comfortable enough for a night's sleep. We have a kitchen where we make basic meals for whoever is staying with us. Usually, it's people traveling for work or visiting relatives in the colony. The front desk is small and sometimes we are busy handling check-ins while the phone rings at the same time. We have to deal with the typical Kanpur humidity, so the fans are always running at full speed. Outside, the streets are narrow and you can hear the local vendors calling out their goods. We keep a logbook of everyone who stays and it’s mostly filled with names from all over the state. Sometimes the plumbing gives us a little trouble but we fix it as soon as we can. It’s a family-run sort of feeling even though it’s a hotel. We don't have a big lobby, just a small space with a couple of chairs. It is just a regular spot for people who need a place to stay without spending too much money. We just try to keep things running smoothly.
