Our office is located at C-11 in Ashok Vihar, Phase-2, over in Gurgaon. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded during rush hour. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it works for us. We spend our days dealing with travel arrangements and sorting out itineraries for people. The phones ring pretty much all day long, and there is always someone looking for a flight or a hotel booking. It can get a bit stressful when a trip doesn't go as planned, but we just sit here and try to fix it. The air conditioning in the office is a bit old and makes a humming noise that you eventually stop noticing after an hour or two. We have a few desks pushed together and a small area where we keep the water cooler. Most of us bring lunch from home and eat while we talk about our own weekend plans. Gurgaon is always changing, with new buildings going up all the time, but this little corner of Ashok Vihar stays mostly the same. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we all have to wait for the generator to kick in so we can get back to our screens. It is a lot of paperwork and digital files, but it keeps us busy. By the time evening rolls around, the traffic outside is at its worst, so we usually linger a bit before heading out.
