Fareportal India operates out of 4619, Shora Kothi in the Pahar Ganj area of New Delhi. If you know Pahar Ganj, you know it is one of the busiest and most chaotic parts of the city. There are tourists, markets, and vehicles everywhere. Our building at Shora Kothi is right in the thick of it. The street is narrow and the noise from the market never really stops. Inside 4619, it is a different world. We have our computers and our desks where we handle travel-related work. It is a bit of a maze getting up to our floor, and the building is quite old with thick walls. We don't have fancy glass walls or modern elevators. It is a more traditional Delhi building. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away. Because we are in Pahar Ganj, we can just step out and find any kind of food or anything we need in seconds. It is a very lively place to work. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the old wiring in the area, but we manage to fix it quickly. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny lobby. We just focus on getting the work done in this historic part of the city. It is a bit messy and loud, but it is home. We've been here for a while now and we like it.
