Our place is at 464 Dashmesh Nagar in Malerkotla. It’s a solid building in the Sangrur district, and we’ve been running the roadways corporation from here for many years. We focus on the routes between Delhi and Assam, which is a very long way for any driver to go. Because of that, the office is always full of talk about road repairs, state borders, and truck maintenance. We have a lot of ledgers where we keep track of every trip. It’s a bit of a dusty environment with all the paper and the wind coming in from the street, but we don't mind. The staff here knows the transport business inside and out. We spend our mornings checking in with the drivers who are currently on the road and making sure the ones at home are ready for their next turn. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure the cargo is secured. We have a small seating area for visitors, usually people looking to ship goods or drivers waiting for their assignments. The tea shop nearby brings over cups throughout the day, which helps keep us going. It isn't a fancy corporate setup; it’s just a group of people who know how to get things moved across the country. We take pride in just getting the job done without making a big deal out of it. It’s a hard life on the road, so we try to make the office part as simple as possible. We work hard.
