Datta Broach Co has its home at 37 Mehrauli Road, right in the heart of the industrial area. It’s a place that smells like oil and metal, which is pretty much what you’d expect from this part of town. We have a solid building here where we’ve been doing our work for quite a few years now. The road outside is usually packed with trucks and people moving crates. It’s not the kind of place you’d go for a walk, but it’s a great place to get things made. We have a small crew of workers who have a lot of experience. We don’t really go in for fancy titles or corporate meetings. We just gather around the machines and talk about what needs to be done for the day. Sometimes the machines are loud and it’s hard to hear, but we’ve all gotten used to it. We keep our overhead low and our focus on the actual work. Mehrauli Road is a busy stretch, and being in the industrial area means we are surrounded by other people doing similar things. We like the community here. It’s all about practical skills and getting the job finished. We don’t have a marketing department or anything. Most of our news travels by word of mouth among the other businesses nearby. We just keep our heads down, keep the machines running, and make sure we are doing what needs doing.
