Country Club India Ltd. (Mumbai)

It might seem a bit confusing that we have Mumbai in our name but our office is right here in Patna. We’re located at Flat-176 in Block-23, out on Road No-12 in Rajendra Nagar. It’s a residential area, so it’s relatively quiet compared to the main market. The apartment we work out of isn't huge. We have a couple of desks pushed against the walls and a lot of filing cabinets filled with membership forms. People call us all the time asking about holidays and club facilities. We spend a lot of time on the phone, explaining things and checking dates. The stairs leading up to the flat are a bit narrow, and the elevator works when it feels like it. We usually just take the stairs to save time. It’s a simple setup for Country Club India Ltd. My colleague brings homemade lunch every day, and the whole office smells like pickles around noon. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. It’s just us. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so we can get back to our computers. It’s not the most glamorous way to work, but we get the job done. We’ve been in this Rajendra Nagar spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which is fine by us.
