Being in DLF Phase II means we are right in the middle of everything in Gurgaon. Our office is at M-3/58, which is a regular street but always has cars parked everywhere. It’s a bit of a scramble to find a spot in the mornings. We do consulting work, which mostly means sitting at desks, talking on phones, and looking at a lot of spreadsheets. The air conditioning is always running because the Haryana heat gets intense by noon. We’ve got a small pantry where someone is usually making tea. It’s not a huge corporate skyscraper, just a practical space where we can get through the pile of work. Most of us have been here long enough that we know which local food stalls are actually good for lunch. The 122002 pin code area is always changing, with new buildings going up and more traffic every month. It feels like the city never really sleeps around here. We just focus on the files in front of us. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to take a break, which isn't the worst thing. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the clients get what they asked for on time. It gets quiet in the evenings after everyone leaves for the metro or their cars, and that’s usually when the most work actually gets finished. It is a simple life of managing projects and staying on top of the paperwork.
