We are tucked away on the second floor of a building on Richmond Road, right across from Sacred Heart Church. If you know the area, you know the church is a big landmark, so that helps people find us. Being on the second floor means we don’t get many walk-ins who are just browsing, but that’s fine. Most people who come up the stairs are looking for something specific related to fire safety. The office is busy with people coordinating equipment checks and talking to clients on the phone. We’ve got extinguishers and different safety gear sitting around the office, which makes it feel a bit crowded sometimes. It’s just the reality of the job. Richmond Road is always humming with noise from the street, but it’s quieter up here in our unit. We spend a lot of time on scheduling. There’s always someone going out to a site or coming back from a delivery. It’s a constant flow of people in and out. The coffee machine is probably the most used thing in the breakroom because the mornings start early and go late. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture; it’s mostly just desks, filing cabinets, and the equipment we sell. It’s a practical setup for a team that spends more time working than sitting around. We’ve been in this spot for a while and it suits us well enough. We just try to keep things organized despite the constant movement.
