Carlson Wagonlit Travels

Our workspace is inside Flat-403 of Block-C. This is located in the MTNL Staff Quarters in Rohini Sector-3. It’s a government-built housing complex, so it has a very particular look and feel that reminds you of old Delhi. There are lots of families living all around us. We are on the fourth floor, and there isn't an elevator in this block, so we all stay pretty fit just coming to work every morning. The flat has been turned into an office for Carlson Wagonlit Travels. It’s not a big open-plan corporate suite. It’s more like a series of small rooms filled with desks and heavy filing cabinets. We do a lot of travel planning here. The walls are covered with a few old maps and some calendars from previous years. We have a small balcony where we keep a few potted plants, though they struggle a bit in the intense Delhi heat. Sector-3 is a decent neighborhood with a few shops nearby where we get our stationery and snacks. It’s usually pretty quiet during the day while everyone is out. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just knock on the door and walk right in. We spend our time checking flight times and hotel availability. It’s a very modest and honest way of working. Most of us have been here for years, so it feels like home.
