Carlson Wagonlit Travel

You can find us over at C-2/61 in Sector 36 of Noida. It is more of a residential-looking area, so the office feels a bit different than the big glass buildings you see in other parts of the city. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and it has a bit of a lived-in feel to it. There are rows of desks where we sit and handle travel bookings, flight itineraries, and hotel stays all day long. The air conditioner hums in the background, which is necessary because Noida gets incredibly hot during the summer months. Our shelves are full of old binders and travel guides that nobody really looks at anymore since everything moved to the computer, but they’ve just stayed there. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or typing away on keyboards, trying to sort out travel plans for people. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when a flight gets canceled and we have to fix everything at once. We have a small area in the back where we keep the kettle for tea and some biscuits. The neighbors are mostly families or other small offices, so it’s relatively quiet compared to the main market area. We show up in the morning, get through the pile of emails, and try to leave before the traffic on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway gets too backed up. It’s a straightforward job in a plain office where we just focus on getting the details of the trips right.
