Our office is at 216 A/12 on the first floor in Gautam Nagar, New Delhi. The pin code is 110049. British Telecom India Pvt. Ltd. is the official name, but it’s really just a few of us working out of this space. Gautam Nagar is a very tight, busy neighborhood near the big hospitals. The streets are narrow and there’s always something going on outside. Being on the first floor is nice because we can see the street life without being right in it. The office is pretty cramped with all our gear and files, but we make it work. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a movie. It’s got peeling paint in the corners and some old furniture that’s been here since we moved in. We spend our days dealing with telecom stuff, mostly on the technical and admin side. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and staring at screens. We don't have a cafeteria, so we usually order in or go to the small dhabas nearby. The commute can be a bit of a struggle because the traffic in this part of Delhi is legendary. We just try to get in early and finish up on time. We don't put on any airs about who we are. We’re just a local team doing our bit for a bigger company. It’s a very ordinary office.
