We work out of a DDA flat on the second floor in Madangir. The address is 33/1070. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially when the weather is hot. We handle travel stuff for people going to and from the UK. Because of the time difference, we are often in the office until late at night. The flat is not very big, so we have the desks pushed up against the walls to make more room. My nephew helps me with the computer work and we have one other person who handles the phone calls. You can hear the market downstairs and the kids playing in the lane all day long. We have a small balcony where we go to take breaks and get some fresh air. It is a lot of paperwork with the visas and the flight details. We have to be very careful with the documents. We have some folders stacked up to the ceiling in the corner. People in the neighborhood know us as the travel agents and they often stop by to ask questions about passports. We do not have a big office building or any fancy uniforms. We just sit at our desks and do the work. It is a busy life, but we like being in this part of New Delhi. It feels like home to us even when we are working.
