American Express is located at Flat No.-152, Sector-3, in the Pocket-16 DDA SFS Flats in Dwarka, New Delhi-75. It might seem a bit unusual to have an office in a residential flat, but it works for what we do here. It’s a quiet area, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on numbers and financial documents. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for the cards. The flat is divided into different work areas. It’s cozy, maybe a little too cozy when we have everyone in on the same day. We have a small balcony where we go to get some air when the weather is nice. Dwarka is a big place, and Sector-3 is pretty easy to navigate once you get the hang of the pockets. We don't have a big neon sign out front, just a small nameplate. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we don't have to deal with the long commutes that most people in Delhi do. We have our routine. We come in, check the files, answer the emails, and process the paperwork. It’s steady work. We aren't doing anything flashy or loud. We just make sure the accounts are handled properly and the records are kept straight. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing outside and it gets a bit noisy, but we don't mind. It feels more like being part of a community than a cold office.
